Back to main page Ham Radio loses another friend.
April 21, 2008 Pompano Beach, Florida Sam has been a fixture on
the .97 repeater for many years. He lived in Everett during the summer,
and spent the winters in Florida with his daughter. You knew it
was summer when Sam started checking in to the Central Mass 2 Meter
traffic net and George's Old Timers' Net. Sam passed away on April 21,
2008 after suffering a massive stroke about a week earlier. Sam was a WWII Navy veteran,
having served aboard USS Chicago CA136, and was predeceased by his wife
Margaret (Belloise), as well as six brothers. Sam is survived by five
daughters and a son, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, nieces
and nephews. KB4MPU "Portable One", we'll miss you.
Thank
You for your kind words,
Maureen
Ivany (one of the 14)
