October, 31 2000 CM2MN Net Manager Bill's Obituary (Worcester Telegram) Clarence C. Margerum W1AQM SHREWSBURY-- Clarence C. “Bill” Margerum, 97, of 15 Knowlton Ave., a retired salesman, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus, Worcester, after an illness. His wife, Lois (McNeely) Margerum, died in 1999. He leaves a brother-in-law, James F. Bergin of Shrewsbury. He was born in Worcester, son of Charles D. and Mabel (Burns) Margerum, and lived many years in Shrewsbury. Mr. Margerum was a salesman 40 years for Mitchell Dental Depot and 10 years for Healthco Co., Westboro, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Atleston Lodge of Masons, Allepo Shrine, Boston, and the Central Massachusetts Amateur Radio Association, using the call letters W1AQM. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, in Howard C. Allen Funeral Home, 653 Main St. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity. |
